Hi All,

I am in the process of appealing Blue Cross' denial for my 2-level lumbar artificial disc replacement. Can anyone offer approval letters for their surgery from Blue Cross? It would benefit me greatly to have copies of these for my appeal since they are approving some individuals and not others.

Thank you..

I'm appealing also. Sorry I can't help yet. As soon as I'm approved you'll be informed and can use my info at will!

I will also continue my appeals to both BC and BS. I'll let you know if it ever gets approved. Good Luck and keep us all posted.

Hi Phylly,

Thank you for the support. I was denied a second time by CalPERS Blue Cross and now have to file for an Administrative Hearing. They told me it will take several weeks to get my hearing date so I'll be going into credit card debt while I wait. I already had my surgery on May 13, 2008 and definitely feel that it was worth the money!

Anyone with advice on a hearing? I read Laurie Todd's book which offers some advice, but I will take more if available.

Thank you!
