For those who have gone overseas
What would happen in the case of complications? I'm curious becuase if I do have to go overseas I'm concerned about what would happen if there were long or short term complications. I doubt my insurance would cover any costs resulting from those complications. Any ideas?

DDD C5/6. Incorrectly diagnosed as tension headaches in September 1997. Nearly continuous headache since. Began having pain in wrists in 2000, believed it was onset of carpal tunnel. In 2005 pain began getting worse. Diagnosed as DDD in July 2007. Surgery recommended after 6weeks of PT made the pain worse. ADR scheduled for Jan 26, 2009. Rescheduled for August 5! Bryan disc finally FDA approved, and just in time too. Neck was all jacked up and had to be fused unfortunately.

Jason,
That is one of the risks you have to consider. I know that I would have the support of my family doc and that my insurance did cover my visits to him and other pain docs(which did no good). I just had a long recovery. However, where I went, if you did have a major problem, they would revise or fix for free. You just had to get back there. Easier said than done. Anyway, I am fully recovered and living life again and I wish you success and a speedy recovery. Mark
