Hello all!
I am just over a month out from surgery. Things are up and down. I can sit down and sit for a while which is a good thing but I still have pain, but no more pain down my legs. Can't wait to be completely off pain meds and back in the gym. I want to send a big THANK YOU to Harrison for all of his help before my surgery, months ago when I was in the most extreme pain, and now that I am taking the steps to get back to where I want to be. My quality of life was 0 before but now I can start to enjoy things again.

Welcome to our community and congrats on your HUGE milestone! It seems like you are doing well. Just remember the slogan that Alastair often uses, "Slow and steady wins the race..." Besides, if you don't take it easy, Alastair will yell at you.
 In the coming months, keep us posted with your progress. The only thing that freaked me a bit was the soft "clicking" in the lumbar area in months 2, 3 and 4, which have subsided. Apparently, that's the sound of the new joint and adjacent tissue finding its way into the world... JB - RUGBY!? Are you sure you want to rush back to that mayhem?! Take a year or two off, perhaps you can pick up another aerobic exercise like drinking highly caffeinated beverages?!

Hi Rugger,
Good to see a "fellow Buckeye" on the forum!!! One month out - you are still very EARLY in the recovery process! Take it easy or I will "yell" at you too! Things will be up and down for awhile for you. It can be frustrating, but you can not rush "mother nature" during the healing process. I hope to see you posting more and about your recovery progress soon.

Hi Rugger,
it's great to know that you are making an excellent recovery. This is very early days you know and its six weeks until that wound has healed up fully. Don't go back as a prop forward immediately -- -- -- I used to play scrumhalf in my young days, and know the mayhem that goes on in that area.
