I couldn't help myself, I got the snogo out of friday afternoon and went for a short ride. Just a few miles on the neighborhood trails. What a thrill !!! It has been 2 years since I've been able to ride. No negative consequences other than some little muscle aches. Afterward I promptly put the it in the shop and tore it apart to keep from riding it again ... well aleast until the new parts arrive ;-)

It's great to be able to live life again -- getting a second chance is a gift...

Scott, I don't remember how bad off you were or how long you were down, but I do remember those months when I could feel the life being sucked back into my body... looking into the mirror and seeing someone I hadn't seen in years. Becoming myself again... what an incredible time. I'm so glad that you get to experience that kind of rebirth.

I know it's hard for some people to look at this stuff. Perhaps we should have a forum named "Gloating"! On the other hand, so many people have expressed appreciation for the hope that these posts and websites have given them. So, absolutely to be filed under the gloating banner, turn your sound on and look at the flash movie, created December 5th, 2004, at 26 1/2 months post-op.
