Default Problematic Prostate?

I know the odds are low but was thinking now my back pain might be related to an enlarged prostate. Through googling that seems like a remote possiblity.

For awhile thought it was the SI joint but had bilateral SI joint injection and have also had a L4/5 Facet injcetion with no decrease in pain.

My disc on the MRI are black but since there still presevation of disc height at the L4/5, L5/S1 was thinking it still could be something else. No leg pain so it seems unlikely a nerve is pinched.

Going to primary care Dr. next week for a physical and will bring up my symptoms.

Default Sorry about the latest news

Yes, you are right, the back pain could be related to prostate. There's a small number of folks here that have dealt with these issues, perhaps they will chime in or PM you. But I like your choice or words with regard to this possibility: "remote!"

I'm glad you are talking to your doc. Good luck and keep us posted.

The discs themselves have sensory nerves and can cause pain irrespective of disc height.

I'm dumb as a post from an all-nighter but I think that I read if one is on opiates, it can diminish the veracity of the PSA test (but I Googled for it and couldn't find it).

You raise a good/scary issue as a semi-recent CT or MRI showed mild irregular borders of my prostate. I hear the biopsy hurts like you know what.

Better safe than sorry and good luck.

Best...
