I've found over the years that whenever I get a flu my normal back pain is significantly reduced (as long as it isn't extremely high), whether I take medication or not. I assume it's an incidental effect of the body's defense against the flu. Unfortunately the effect seems to fade as I get over the flu....

for me, before surgery Asprin, tylenol, Aleve, ibuprofen did nothing. now, after surgery 800mg ibuprofen save the day.

Nice to know my results were not something that far out of the ordinary. I was really taken aback when an old med that didn't work before, now does. If it hadn't been for serendipity, I'd still be popping opiates.

(ADR2002 BPSG) L4-5 and L5-S1 Prodisc on 12/2/02 (trial TBI Plano TX, J Zigler). L4-L5 failed due to HO. Developed facet syndrome. Pain back to pre-surgery level. Had rhyzo at L3 thru L5. Pain now under control without opiates. O HAPPY DAY! |
