Default burning pain new since op !!!

I have a new burning pain come on Friday last week I have had it before when the day the pain moved to my left side after a year of right sided neck and shoulder pain. I havent had it much since and not since my op at all. It covers both traps and neck and it really deep burning and I dont like it!!! I had pyhsio on Thusday she pressed on the bit in between my scaps to release some tension, it REALLY hurt me! I also did some raking of the garden at the weekend and am hoping this didnt help and it will all settle again I took it upon myself today to add another 150mg dose of Pregablin as the pain had kept me awake Sat and Sunday night.it hasnt worked I am staring at the tramadol I had left from presurgery.

At times recently my pain is worse than before surgery. I was on 6-8 Tramadol a day so maybe I didnt realise the level of damage that was done. Any advice form anyone (I am worried) Maz

Maz,

Sorry you are having pain again. Remember that your nerves can take 6 months or longer to completely settle down. I myself have had several ups and downs with the pain. Just as soon as I think things are completely healed, I have another flair up. Everyone heals at a different pace and you are still only a little while out from surgery.

Still, I would not hesitate to call your doctor if you are really concerned about it. It is always better to be safe.

Hang in there young lady,

Maz,

The raking probably did not help at all, but lesson learned, right? And DaveC is so right. It is still early days and I swear we could all write the book on the ups and downs of the nerve healing. Hang in there, and as DaveC also said, discuss with your doctor for peace of mind. That is huge. I'm thinking of you. Take it slow. Cindylou

There is nothing like any of us trying to; "do it all" and wondering why we hurt to bring us down to reality.

I have been in this situation more times than I can shake a stick at. I am scheduled to move our outpatient clinic in to our new location this Friday. We have been in the process of having the new 7,000 sq. ft. facility being built this Summer. It is now finished and I have my staff scheduled to work Friday, Saturday and Sunday to move so we can be ready for patients on Monday. I am so excited to be in this position. I have so many helpers but know that I am going to have to make sure that I do not push myself too hard. I have to rely on others and direct traffic. That is the part of being the boss that I cannot do. I never ask of my employees what I am not willing or able to do myself. So this is an opportunity to test myself and see if I can behave.

So I know exactly what you were going through Maz. There was no one saying that all of that area had to be raked in that one day. The internal task master was in control.

We all need to let go and allow others to help us as we are more fragile than we would like others to believe.

Maybe this is God's way of telling all of us to let others pitch in and help us out.

Hang in there Maz; and others.

HI Terry how rtight you are (as usual) I have to admit that its not do-able right now. This became apparent this week when lifting saucepans and ending up in teras. Still Gus amy husband and best freidn sat with me while we worked out how I could achieve things with his help and not be afraid to ask and it is working 2 really good days. My pain is constant but it is lower and I am more postive about the future.

Terrry did you resist getting to involved yesterday? See I am watching you too!

Not at all. I totally misbehaved and lifted way too much. Just got done today, in fact, and have to drive to Jackson tomorrow for a meeting in Lansing on Monday morning. So I am absolutely the pot calling the kettle black.

But overall I am feeling OK. Just sore and tired. We are all ready for our first patients on Monday.
