Hey there,
I've got bone spurs pressing on spianl cord at C5-6 level and have received my 2nd cortisone shot. It really reduced the numbness and tingling but started coming back at 1 month.

Anyway, the 1st time I had the injection, I got terribly sick with a migraine and vomiting for 30 hours after. I figured it was the delauted they gave me for sedation. This time I told them to give me something different, however, same thing happend. It's the next day, some I'm much better, but I am flushed on face and chest.

Has anyone had adverse reactions to their sedation or could this be related to the cortisone. PS I am prone to migraines and the medication didn't help this time.
Thank you, TamiJ

It sounds like you are having problems with the opiates. Some people react this way to the really strong stuff which Dilaudid is. It is a very potent pain medication. See if they can use something non-narcotic in the future.

Hang in there.

The cortisone definitely can leave your face, chest flushed for a few days after injection. That is a side effect for sure.
