Exclamation Cortisone Injections: Cost & Efficacy

Costs of Cortisone Injections

I just spoke with a ADRSupport member who explained his recent cortisone injections for which he paid for out of pocket. He paid $5000 ($2500 for each injection, after a discount). He got one week of partial relief with a $5000 investment.

Ouch.

Was the discount "special for you we'll only mark this up by 500%"?

Was there any possibility of learning something about what's wrong from the way he responded? It's slim comfort but that might be something to feel better about.

now that there are private radiology centers popping up around the big cities with much cheaper prices I'm wondering if these routine procedures are starting to appear outside of hospitals too? it's worth looking into.
