Did not know that it was any other way but Fusion

I live in the South, was not told it was any other way to fix problem. Had to retire on disability in 2003 took till 2011 to get where I could get around from back surgery they had me on all kind of Pain Meds, in June This year I just said no more!!!!!!!!!!! The last fusion I had at C7,T1 I can look at the X-rays and see the screws are not in right, Dr.Robinson the Dr. that did all the neck surgeries send me to Jacksonville Mayo and they say the last 2 surgeries did not heal. That I have a stenosis C7,T1 and C4,C5 and he can go thru the back and fuse it but don't think the pain in me finger will go away. They did an ENG and set up a visit with the hand Doctor and elbow x-ray then after the ENG the Nero canceled the X-rays and the hand Doctor. So all I got out of that 3 day trip was stop smoking with was all smoking a half pack a day. I went back Dr.Robinson what they said and he asked if I stop smoking. YES
Again I told him that my hand was going num when I left the hospital from the last surgery, what I have been coming to him for the last 2 years and he told me he was sending me back to Jacksonville Mayo. It seem like they are just pasting the buck back and forth. My wife tells me to tell them to fix it and I tell her I do what am I to do take my pistol the next time. This may not be right it's my first post. Any ideas

I'd request (read that as "demand") all of the records they have from your visit, especially the most current x-rays and the EMG. I'd suggest having a lawyer in your pocket instead of the pistol when you make the demand. After all, good lawyers tend to give you more than a single shot when you pull the trigger even if they're expensive to reload. You don't necessarily even need to talk to a lawyer yet but be ready to refer to your imaginary lawyer who will call them if anyone gets difficult about releasing records.

If you're sure the screws weren't put in right, you might be getting bounced because no one wants to be involved in the lawsuit they think is coming. Your only real hope in that regard is to get the information for yourself. Feel free to post it here for free and unskilled advice or ask about the meaning of terminology that you see in the report. The internet can answer most questions but sometime it helps to ask a group like this to make sure you understand what was implied as well as what was stated.

Where are you in the South? There are some surgeons in the Orlando area that have been mentioned here as not being too bad.

I've got the records & films from the doctor in Macon Ga. . . . They called me from the Jacksonville Mayo about an appointment but they didn't make one,???? I ask about the notes from the last visit and said they would mail me a release for me to sign to get them. I'm tiring to get an appointment with the Orthopedic Dr.
Thanks Harrison for putting this post in the right place no up date yet. It seems like no hurry they are not hurting . But I've been this way for 2 years and 3 mouths. Its bad scents I stopped using pain meds back in June of this year.

It is hard to keep my mind on anything but my right hand. I'm to the point that I don't know witch one would be better the Lawyer or the Glock.

I'm in Florida as well.
I know another member on here went to Dr. James Billys and he was happy with his ADR results. Of course, there is Dr. Garcia in Miami as well.

It might be worth it to send your info to Dr. Boeree.
He does charge a consult fee but the reason I'm thinking this might be a benefit to you is because he is out of our country. Another doctor here will be reluctant to work on another doctor's problem, especially if they feel a lawsuit may be involved.
In your case, you need an answer to how to fix you and get your life back on track.
Maybe getting doctor Boeree to give you his opinion would help you because he wouldn't be worried about a lawsuit and would be just giving you his opinion on what's wrong and if or how to fix it. He'd be a neutral party giving you an expert opinion.
You wouldn't have to go to him, but the $350 might be worth your piece of mind.
Just a thought..

Vicki in Florida I call my Dr's office today and they say they are working on an approintment at Mayo in Jacksonville with Dr.Stepen M. Pirris and I'm trying to get them to send me to my first pain Dr. not for pain meds but for injections maybe they can help some.
