Thumbs up been there, just done that!

Well....I am sure we all feel pain differently. I just had a double fusion last Monday and I am feeling great.

Heres the good news....I woke up in pain, but pain that I could manage. It wasn't that bad. By day three I was hurting...ok...I won't lie....A FRICKIN LOT! I assume the anesthesia was out of my body by then. The pain pump is beautiful...push the button all the time, you can't overdose, it's set for you.

So take a deep breath, put it in prespective....it is 2-3 days out of your entire life that hurt a lot. It is do-able! Demand that nurses give you your meds on time to stay on top of the pain. One week out and I have little pain and am walking anywhere I want.

Best of luck and let us know how it goes....

Next week, October 15. He will fuse L4-L5. I don't know much about it other than I am ready to be out of THIS pain.

How old are you? Next week, October 15 the surgeon will fuse L4-L5. I don't know much about it other than I am ready to be out of THIS pain. What levels did you have surgery on. Could you tell immediately it had helped your "old pain"
