facet joint resurfacing after 9 years ADR

Has anyone had a facet joint resurfacing after Disk replacement. After 9 agonising years and finally submission beacuse Im back in a wheelchair, I am trying facet joint resurfacing by Dr Pimenta in Brazil before having the charite diks removed and fused, Has anyone out there had this procedure done I would love to hear from you and your outcome good or bad.

Hello Anna, I have read your posts around the place. You were one of Scott-Youngs early efforts yes?

I haven't heard of facet resurfacing? It's not an anterior and posterior fusion? As part of the posterolateral fusion I think they will roughen the facets and place bone over them and the transverse processes, to immobilise them and hopefully ease any pain they are giving.

I know a poster 'Blairsara' (I think his posts are on ispine) had this procedure performed on his charites, and while not pain free saw a significant drop in pain before he dropped off the internet and got on with his life.
