Dustin,
I am happy to say that I think having the ADR's removed (C5-6 & C6-7)then a fusion (C4-5, C5-6, C6-7) was the best thing I could have done! Before this surgery, I would get headaches that would put me in bed! I'm happy to say, I am now headache free!

Although I am not pain-free, I still think this will be worth it in the long run. When I had my ADR surgery, I was in horrible pain from the time of the surgery until the time of my revision on May 12, 2011! I'm still in a neck brace (and a back brace because of my lumbar fusion in December) but I go back to the doctor on August 5, and have a CT of my back to see if the fusion has taken and an x-ray of my back to make sure all the hardware is in place. If so, then I can shed my braces!

I hope your fusion is progressing. Did they remove the pro-discs before fusing, or did they leave them in and fuse over?

Keep me posted.
Terese
