Hi everyone, I just got home from my appt. w/ hip doctor today, to review MRI of hip w/ contrast. We had much better rapport today, night and day from last time. He did offer that the "contrast communication of the hip joint and the iliopsoas bursa" which was present on this MRI and the one a year ago, could very likely mean he stitched me up too tight in that area, and we might need to consider him going back in to loosen it. I told him I've been stretching alot, which has given me a small amount of relief, but considering I am leaving early tomorrow morning for Costa Rica, for my son's wedding, would he consider some initial trochanteric injections? I REALLY want to hike in the rain forest with my sons and daughter-n-laws. So, he was very agreeable, and I received one in each hip and my bad, arthritic knee. Now I should hope to be the bionic woman, for a bit at least. I am to see how it goes, and if I still have trouble when I return, he will first inject the iliopsoas bursa area to see what relief, if any, it provides, and then take it from there. He said it is probably explaining why my back pain has been getting worse, as when the psoas is soooo tight, it pulls/strains on the lower back. So, I left there feeling very "listened to," and him clearly owning the possibility of "over" stabilizing my hip joint. So, will see what kind of relief the injections give me. And thank-you for all the support I receive from you guys.
Harrison, sorry we did not get the opportunity to talk more, last week. I cannot remember what your other question was.

CindyLou:

Good luck with the upcoming beautiful events unfolding in your life. You deserve some pain free moments. I hope the injections get you through the events, being able to enjoy them, and some solutions on the other side when you return.

Thinking of you.

Thank-you guys. I do so appreciate the well wishes. And will keep you posted on how it all progresses. Our cab is picking us up at 4am, so I'm thinking maybe I should just pull an all nighter, and crash on the plane! Maybe.....
