Has anyone had AxiaLIF and ADR
I just found out about this AxiaLIF procedure which is far less invasive than typical fusion surgery. I am contemeplating having a two level ADR in India since I have to pay for it myself and it is more affordable. If I can find another alternative here I would rather do it here and have my insurance (Connecticare) cover it, which they do cover a one level Pro Disc L. I was willing to have just one ADR, L5-S1, which clearly in worse shape than is the L4-L5. Connecticare denied the one level ADR saying I had two level disc damage; their clever way of getting out of paying for anything. Since I don't want a two level fusion, I felt my only option was going overseas to have the ADR surgery. Becuase having a two level overseas is not much more expensive than just a one level, I might as well just have them both done. Now after reading about the AxiaLIF, I want to pursue that as a viable option, having it done to L5-S1 and then Pro Disc L on L4-L5, which is commonly referred to as a hybrid procedure. Anyone with experince in this? I would have preferred the Maverick discs if I go overseas, but if I can have it done here I would end up with the Pro Disc L since it is FDA approved.
