Hello guys,
I had the Coflex interspinous spacer procedure done 9 days ago after doing an intesive research about the possible solutions for my back and on and off leg pain. I am happy to say that my back pain is gone but I still have leg pain that goes from my right buttock until my toes lots of pressure on my ankle and leg... According to the doctor as my nerve is being trapped for about a year it needs time to heal and be ok but as I am not sure I am afraid maybe it is something else!? The pain I am experiencing is very similar and almost the same type of pain I had at the very beginning of my injury which was exactly a year ago in June 2008. After trying physical therapy and epidural shots without success my next step was surgery and finding out that fusion and ADR were going to be very invasive surgeries and COFLEX being a less invasive option to these other too I decided to go for it 9 days ago... My injury is a mixture of DDD and a disc herniation at level L5 S1 ... I got this procedure done overseas since in the USA is not permitted to have it done at that level plus COFLEX is still in clinical trial ... If anyone has gone through this type of procedure please get back to me ... I am not sure if I should worry about the leg pain or not!?
Thanks!
Looking forward to hear from you!
