meralgia paresthetica - is this common after adr?
I know that was a mouthful, but basically it is numbness, pins and needles with pain in the front side of your thigh. It was realy bad when I woke from surgery but was getting progressively better, I am almost 5 weeks out and wanted to know when it will go completely away or if it is something I will have to manage. After a hot shower and some rest it gets better but then comes back on a little at at a time through out the day. I do not take any medication at this time, trying to let my liver and kidneys have a brake from all that junk. Relative pain free sofa except the thighs by the way it is both of them not one side or the other. Any help or comments would be great

1992 Injured back two bulging discs at l4/5 &l5/s1 2002 microdisectomy at same level January 2010 redo at level l4/5 November new MRI disc collapse at both levels April 27 2011 M6 replacements at l4/5 & l5/s1 at Barcelona spine center with Dr Clavel.

Guess no one has had to deal with this, but if you get numb thighs with a burning feeling and pins and needle feeling after surgery it does seem to go away. Mine is almost gone now at 6 weeks.
