Morphone pump?

Hello to all..

This is one of my fisrt times posting so all I hope is that what I am about to post is posted on the right page? I think it is

I have an 'Intrathecal pain pump implant' I have had it now for almost 2 yrs this summer so to me i'm just getting the hang of it all (It really takes some getting used to believe me)

Anyway what I would like to know is if anyone would know "How long does the pump battery last? I thought i knew this answer but i have also heard different!
I was told it usually last somewhere between 3-5 yrs usually 5 .
I am wondering if my pump will have to be changed sooner than 5 due to the amount of refills i have ? I say this as i heard that the battery wears out the harder the pump works! My refills should have been 12 to 10 weeks apart but sadly due to the pain i am in i have quiet a high amount of morphine and have to have my refills every 4 weeks now so that is pretty close, hence the battery is working harder than it would if it were being refilled every 12 weeks rather than 4; any infomation appreciated.
