Question Nerve compression post surgery

Has anyone gone through spinal stenosis post fusion/ADR?? What symptoms does one go through?? I feel like bugs/ants crawling/eating my nerves. Anyone having similar symptoms??

My EMG (done by a Neurologist) on the motor nerve shows NO damage after the surgeon saying that my nerve has been partially damaged by the surgical clips. So now no more talks about the nerve stimulator!!! Time to try to get the right surgeons to believe that after all it's all about a "stenosis" which is still a problem....

What is next in my case and who to believe????

I don't know Rosie.
My symptoms worsened when I was just short of six months post-op, after having ADR at L4/5.
I had some tingling in my feet and lower legs when I'd go to PT but that would go away. My increase in symptoms started with me thinking there were bugs or something crawling on my feet while I sat on the couch.
When I went to swat whatever was there, nothing was there. I finally realized it was my nerves.
That increased and then i got numbness in places I hadn't had since before surgery, like my upper legs and I got a return of sciatica.

My doctor does not know what is causing it.
MRI and x-rays did not show anything significant.

Hi Rosie
Im sorry you're still dealing with this nerve thing. Funny how we both thought we'd be "right" after our surgeries, how wrong we were !!!

UNfortunately I have no answers to help you, have you been able to isolate which level is the culprit, the ADR or fusion one?
What's your gut feeling? I've usually found that I'm pretty spot on with "diagnosing" myself when my doc's are a bit baffled. They look for textbook signs and symptoms, not those "outside the box".

All I can say is keep hanging in there and good luck finding an answer.
