Pain
When a doctor does a fusion stops one pain and startes another what can you do. They say its my Ulnar nerve C8 a Doctor at mayo said stenosis at C7-T1. Is there anything that can be done for the pain besides pain meds.

Early 90's fusion to C5,C6,C7 Mid 90's Redo to C6,C7 2001 fell down a 30' cliff at work, worked on till Nov.2002 had fusion L5,L4 with rods& screws 2004 they went back in replaced rods & screws with larger screws & longer rods & fusion to L4,L3 6 screws & two 7" rods know 2007 fuison at C4,C5 with plate & screws 2009 fuison at C7,T1 with plate & screws Know I have CP from the Ulnar nerve

Short-term, injections or rhizotomies can help but both are band-aid fixes to give you time to address the cause of the pain.

I'm going to the Doctor soon I ask about it. I've tried blocks but they didn't help I'll ask about rhizotomies .

I'm assuming you've already tried all of the simple options: heat, massage, TENS or NEMs units, acupuncture, etc.

the only thing that I have not tried is acupuncture. The only thing I've found that works is strong pain meds. I was on them sents I fell back in 2001. I just couldn't take them an longer. Know I'm not right I fill ?????? . If I could go back I wouldn't have taken any of them. I only have about 25% use of my right hand.
