anyone heard of this company:
ConforMIS http://www.conformis.com/ there was a write-up about them in Inc Magazine; http://img39.imageshack.us/img39/256...009100086s.gif they shape the artificial device for the patient. They only do knees, but they already have patents for the spine. .

This company, first time I read the word "conformis".
This concept is ~somewhat covered in the literature, medical journals, ... with references to variance in anatomy and tailoring implants. Biomechanics, Journal of Biomechanics, ... refer to individual differences and the challenge of generalizing biomechanical models. Thank you for the heads up; it goes into a folder for favorites under Internet Explorer. slackwater_sf |
