Default PM Doc/Interventionist in LA/accepts BC?

Please, pretty please?

I hate mine!! He's a sick sadist with a Personality Disorder.

I need one who's not paranoid about "narcotics" but is good with spinal stimulators, procedures, and accepts BC.

I feel like a cornered rat (well, I look like one). In the situation where if you just change doctors it looks bad for the patient as unfortunately, my ridiculous tolerance to morphine has raised my dosage to 240 mg/day! This is insane. I believe that this is part of "opiate hyperalgesia" and that tolerance itself is adaptive but oy vey!

I must taper, detox, or try suboxone if it stops tolerance (hear it's hell to get off).

Thank you. Unfortunately, cannot provide donations to our favorite charities.

Alan, sorry about your situation! Let me see if I got this right: no docs will operate on you -- and you cannot find a good pain management doctor?!

Hey

I met with both Dr. Regan and just had my 2 level ADR from Dr. Lauryssen. I also met with another Doc Ian Armstong. He wasn't the doc for me but he might be someone worth looking into for you. He is located in Culver City. I don't know what insurance he takes.

There were also a couple of well known docs that my fiance came across while we were researching that I was going to go see but decided not to cause I was already happy with Dr. Lauryssen. I'll give you the names of them as soon as he text me back. I hope this helps.

Best Wishes

~Liz

I just looked into another thread and found the surgeons name. Dr. Delamarter at LA Spine. My fiance and I came across him during out own research and I found him in the thread titled Who is considered the most experienced ADR surgeon in the U.S.?

Yes, Harrison: too severe DDD but they Lauryssen would when/if central canal stenosis is dangerous. I wish they could operate to fix severe formaminal stenosis but they are wary. Thanks.

Too Young! I wish you well. Carl Lauryssen is my favorite surgeon in LA and he's a "doctor's doctor". Although straight, he's my "man crush" b/c he's so cool, incredibly bright, and I wish you absolute success with your surgery for you truly are "too young".

My best - ans
