My 2 level dynesys is scheduled for October 10 at 12:00. Still wished it were an ADR, but at least something is getting done!

**Big nervous sigh of relief**

Congrats! Are the you one of the few in the U.S. that has had multilevel?

I hope you can take care of yourself during the next 2 weeks, eating well, stretching, etc.

Thank you, Harrison.

I'm embarrassed to say that I've gained about 50 pounds. It's horrible - I've been depressed and just didn't care. So, of course, that adds to the pain - such a vicious circle.

So, I'm thinking if I drop that in the next 2 weeks, I'm good to go. lol. Anyway, have started eating right again and trying to exercise - walk, walk, walk and more walking - plus little inclines, etc.

He's done several hybrids - fusion along with a single level dynesys. As far as multi-level, I'm not sure - good question to ask him during my pre-op. Already made a note.

I've spoken to several of his dynesys pts and they are doing very well and would do it again in a "New York Second". One is absolutely pain free. THAT'S exciting. However, he assured me I would never be and would always have back pain. I'm a little nervous about the distraction pain - another question to ask.

Sorry - I'm rambling.

Hi GBR,

Congrats on getting your surgery scheduled! That is a huge hurdle to leap. The weight gain is totally understandable, although that doesn't make it any easier. Keep us posted on your pre-surgery preparations and post-op outcomes.

Thank you so much for your well wishes. Honestly, the thing I hate the most about surgery is waking up. Why do they think they have to yell at you and tell you what to do? lol

Anyway, I was looking on the Zimmer website at Dynesys and they say something about "until solid fusion is realized" or something like that (2 times). WHAT???? I have always read and been told that this is INSTEAD OF. So, now I have even more questions for my dr. My list is growing and growing.
