Spinal Cord Compression

Has anybody had Cervical central cord compression prior to surgery? What was the outcome, did you have full recovery? Or if anyone has any knowlege of cord compression outcomes, I would appreciate your input.

I ask because I did have spinal cord compression at C3/C4, I am 5 days post Op and hoping I have a good chance to recover much of my life back.

What initiated my first spinal surgery was what my neurosurgeon called "significant compression of the spinal cord". It was sufficiently bad that when I threw a ball to my then 14 year old, I dropped to the ground, lacking the strength to get up for 4 or 5 minutes.

Waking up after the C4/5 fusion, all symptoms had resolved.

I hope yours do the same, soon.

By any chance did you have any arm symptoms?

I have tingling and burning arms & hands. Most prominent on my right side. The Dr. said not to measure my progress in days. I need to look at progress over a couple of months.
