Question Spinal Cord Stimulator

Rosie, I know we have discussed this briefly in the past. Hopefully, we'll get some others with firsthand experience to chime in.

My pain management doctor is out of options with my care. He is suggesting a SCS. I know Bill Baker (previously on this forum) had one. I remember speaking with him close to 4 years ago and he did not care much for the SCS. I also remember CervieQueen had a trial with SCS, but she decided against it.

Has anyone had a favorable outcome concerning the use of a SCS? Unfortunately, I am currently in a dark place concerning my own health.

Justin:

I am so sorry that things are not going well for you.

I also have been going through a bout with some extra pain for the last few weeks.

Is it the facet joints or some other issues?

I hope the spinal cord stimulator is a good solution for you. You are too young to be having a lifetime of pain.

Hang in there Justin and, let us support you in the process.

I love the turkey avatar.

Your friend,

Terry Newton

Justin, sorry about this turn of events. I finished an interview with a really nice woman who has a lot of experience with her pain mgt implant device -- she is happy with both the old and new one. I'll get some more information on it and also see if she is amenable to communicating directly with you. Do you have other questions I could pass on to her or others here?

Justin,

I can't offer any input on the spinal cord stimulator, but I am just sick about this poor turn of events for you. You have been such a friend and counsel to me during my bad times, I can only hope to offer you some support in return.

You are certainly in my prayers, dear friend. May you find answers and relief soon.

Terry, CindyLou and Harrison -- thank you for your posts and supportive words. Much appreciated. Thank you to those that sent me private messages as well.

I saw a new pain management doctor today, and we discussed the SCS at length. My symptoms are neuropathic in nature, but I have yet to find a treatment option that has provided pain relief.

I will be meeting with him once again right after Thanksgiving to decide future treatment options. I will also being seeing my stateside surgeon the same day.

I wish I could have celebrated my 5 year ADR anniversary under better circumstances last week.

The artifact in my most recent set of films is significant:

Default That's hysterical!

How the hell did you do do this --- this is one tough PhotoShop assignment!

...no wonder your back hurts. You really should get that checked.
