Can ADR help facet Joints?

Maybe... it has been seen. I'm sure that facet issues were considered
to be a contra-indication for ADR for good reason. There may be other
considerations that we don't know about.

Facet problems used to be considered a contra-indication to ADR. At some of the conferences I attended, I saw films of a woman's inflamed facets, but they decided to do ADR anyways. 2-year post-op films showed the facets had recovered and were no longer enlarged or abnormal. Now, they are more tolerant of facet issues with ADR. Restoring normal spinal mechanics will actually help the facets. Obviously, ADR is not magic and there are reasonable limitations.

I have seen films of recent post-op ADR patients who are wonderful short-term successes, in spite of very off center, or too anterior implantations of ADR. I would expect these short term successes to experience long term facet problems because of the incorrect center of rotation in the post-ADR system. There is a huge difference in experience levels from doctor to doctor. Please select carefully.
