Hi everyone....I know it has been a long time since we posted but wanted to drop in and give you an update.

It has been almost six months since Mom's surgery in Germany by Dr. Zeegers.

Her distraction pain (which was worse than any back pain she had experienced) seems to be better. Neurotin has helped her greatly! Although she does still experience "knots" in the back of her legs that have to be massaged out weekly.

While she is off all pain meds, life is not as she had hoped it would be. In removing all the pain meds, the pain and arthritis in her feet has become more pronounced. She has great difficulty walking. She is unable to return to work at this time.

After surgery she has a numb spot (about the size of a dime) on her right thigh. Now, most of the outside of her Rt thigh is numb and the left outside thigh is experiencing the same numbness. She is also beginning to experience numbness in her feet.

The latest new symptom is diarrhea and nausea. This started out slowly but now has become a daily problem. It is so bad that she can not leave the house. Her blood work and cultures have returned that everything is fine. She has a GI appointment on Friday. Our fear is that she is losing control of her bowels.

If anyone has any opinions on what could be going on with her, we are open. While the back pain has been greatly helped thru ADR....there seems to be a new set of issues.

Ugh...when will it ever end??

Chante' and Donna,

Thank you for the update. I am glad to hear that Donna is doing better with her spine problems. She is still early post-op and it may be many more months before things start to fall in place--don't lose hope.

How long has she been off of the meds? It is a great idea to have a complete workup from a GI doc--please let us know how things go on Friday.

Justin
