Hi all.....Well, I went through with my adr and fusion surgery. The surgery went fine, but I developed a little fluid in my lungs during the hospital stay.I'm doing real well now, starting to eat better and moving aroung more.Plus. no more hip and leg pain!!The incision pain is the worst part of the whole thing and that is much better today. Thanks to all for your kind thoughts prior to surgery.

Hi! We had surgery on the same date. It will be interesting comparing our recoveries. I had a three level Dynesys and decompression with debridement of the facets. One week post op I am using a cane full time to aid in leg weakness. I had not really used one pre-op. My incision pain is not too bad and as soon as the steri-strips melt away I am going to use some of that scar tape that Curad makes. I used it a year ago after my carotid surgery and it made a huge idfference in the amount of scar tissue build up.

Hope your incision pain is improving. I'm using gel packs 24 hours, although I usually don't get up in the middle of the night to replace it, I notice a difference when they have melted, as the heat and "stretching" seem to come back.

They do have McDonalds in Germany.

Do you know what kind of beer they serve?

Doug,
Congratulations on your successful surgery. It's good to hear from more and more happy ADR patients. Be certain to pace yourself and not get carried away when you feel great.

It's fun to congratulate people on their successful surgeries! Now you can look forward to daily improvement. Don't do too much too fast, even when you think you can. (Some of us have done that so we know what we're talking about.) Best of luck in your recovery.

Hi MacLager,
congratulations on your surgery, take things steady as if you're going up a gradual slope. It pays hands down to take your time
best,
Alastair
