abdominal discomfort pre-ADR

I am curious as if anyone pre-ADR had any discomfort in the lower abdominal area before surgery. I do not know how to explain this other than everything (my internal organs,)feels tight and bloated and like everything needs to pulled up back up into place)... I am feeling like since my severe disc space narrowing at L5,S1 is forcing everything downward where it does not belong, I did have a successful surgical repair for a small femoral hernia and there are no more indcations form that. The intestine is no longer bulging out. I use to be able to feel it, and my post-op check w/ my surgeon (a really cool MD) said he could no longer feel any bulge.

I was just curious if this is just some bizarre thing with just me, or if this does sound disc related.

I had a lot of lower abdominal problems you are describing prior to surgery. For info. I learned that disc pain can refer to the abdomen and pelvis and in fact does so in 1/5 th of discograms. I also had a hernia operation although umbilica during my injury and thought it was from that but learned about the referred pain. I went through a complete physical trying to find out the problem to no avail. I found a study on this and will search for it today and send you the link.
