ADR in los angeles-need dr advice
my surgeon is dr. etemad. am getting second opinion from dr. acosta at cedars sinai. does anyone have any experience with either of these two surgeons? epidurals didn't help and after discogram dr. etemad said i needed adr. have appointment at cedars on friday. any advice or experience would be appreciated.

-back problems start at age 14 (1986) -2001 mri shows bulging disc -2 years of on again/off again narcotic pain medication -2003 off pain medicine -october 1st 2010 back problems resurface -mri shows 2 herniated discs at L5 and L2 -discogram shows L2 is source of pain -may 2011 dr recommends adr

Thanks for that. I am not familiar with these surgeons, but many patients have visited cedars sinai. Perhaps someone else will chime in soon; I've not searched the forums yet using the doctors' names as key words...

dr acosta was great. recommended Delamarter and to see a physiatrist. since delamarter isn't covered by my insurance i will have to pay for the consult but acosta said it was worth it since a L2-L3 disc replacement is more complicated then the more common L5.
