Will the Prestige ADR set off metal detectors? Do I need to get a card or something from my doctor?
I'm going to my surgeon this Friday for a follow up to my Prestige that was put in at c7 last week. Although I still have pain, I'm optimistic I'm on the right path.

Hi Jet,
I am not sure the similarity, but my Prodisc-C would not even make the "wand" beep when they passed it directly over my neck.

Jessica 39 yrs old 10/2005 MVA C5-C6 herniation w/ cord impingement/displacement Unable to work full time. July 31, 2006 Surgery successfully completed Prodisc-C C5/C6 on in Straubing, Germany by Dr. Bertagnoli. Able to work full time since 1 month post op, but some pain remains. 10/2008 3 surgeons confirm C6/C7 needs ADR and always has. Has anyone had a second ADR surgery on an adjacent level?

I had wondered about that as well, but I had to fly to N.Y. last week, and it was not a problem at all... I was kind of bummed a little...
 If it wasn't for the x-rays of my neck, I wouldn't have believed I had a disc replaced.... That's good to hear you are feeling better, but remember, it is still very early after surgery. So don't expect to bounce right back up doing the things you used to until you recover and ease back into it. Take it easy and listen to your dr. Take care, cmac
