Not exactly the diagnosis your looking for, but I am still doing better than I ever anticipated at 13 weeks post op on Wednesday. Very very happy. Danced a few "Just Dance 3" songs on Christmas morning with my teenagers!

Think you and I maybe in the same boat. 2 level M6 with Boeree in late January. I'm anxious, nervous, excited, scared!

I think you both will be very happy with the level of skill and professionalism of the entire organization. The hospital is nothing fancy, but has everything you need from the support of emergency services should something go wrong, to good food. Most importantly, I think you will be impressed with your surgeon. Best wishes to you both. You will not regret it.

B2L,
I know you were looking for feed back from 2 levels, but I figured 3 might fit the bill, too! :-) I, as of yesterday, am 7 weeks post-op and knock on wood, am feeling pretty good. I definitely didn't think I would be this far along so quickly. Unlike many people who post here, I have endured many long years of pain (27yrs to be exact because I have had LBP since I was 14yrs old). I definitely wouldn't change what I did even though we don't truly know the longevity of the M6L yet. What I got told here in the US was either a 3 level fusion by one MD or that I just needed to "deal" by another MD because in his opinion I wasn't a candidate for fusion or ADR because my lumber spine was so badly deteriorated. Obviously, I didn't listen to them. Honestly, I don't really know what I really expect to be able to do moving forward because my baseline normal is daily pain and tiredness from blocking the pain. I have to say that already my average pain went from 7-8 daily to between 2-4 daily depending on my activity level. I'm off all meds except Cymbalta for my fibromyalgia (which helps with neuropathic pain in my legs). The worst thing right now is my legs are extremely tight! I've gotten a weekly massage the past few weeks, but I don't really notice much improvement. I started aqua therapy today and am hoping that will help before I start my land based therapy in a couple of weeks. Ultimately, one goal I would love to achieve is being able to golf with my husband. I have a brand new set of Nike clubs we bought a few yrs ago that are sitting in the garage. Also, I love to travel, but pain and fear of something unforeseen happening away from home kind of hindered the distance I was comfortable traveling. I seem to have already met my short term goal of little to no LBP. What I feel right now I can definitely handle! I'm looking forward to ramping up my PT to see what I can really do. If that goes well, then I'm going to hire a trainer and really work at maintaining a fitness routine to try and minimize any possible ADR issues or need for future surgeries. Three back surgeries in my opinion is more than enough for any one person! I wish you the best of luck with your surgery in the coming year. I hope you have a healthy recovery and that 2012 is a better year for us all! If you have any concerns, questions, etc, feel free to contact me either on the board or PM me. Happy New Year, Kim
