I had the Activ-L ADR at L5-S1 in May of 2008, and am currently 39 weeks pregnant with my 4th child. I am due to have a scheduled repeat c-section on Friday, and I am worried about the epidural that will need to be given for the surgery. I had a failed epidural that was very painful for my second pregnancy, although I am guessing that my severly herniated disc that was undiscovered at that time had something to do with the failure. I have gone under general anethesia for the other 3 pregnancies and I really want to stay awake and experience the birth of this child, which will be my last. If anyone has had an epidural for labor or c-section post lumbar ADR, I would love to hear about your experience.
