What is the data source for the column labeled:

Compressed
Cervical
Spinal Cord

Any ideas? Very intriguing and very frustrating.
This chart is the only place I've found these symptoms all together.

Interesting chart.

Depression N for cervical issues? I guess they aren't tuned into chronic pain patients?

I learned a new word... I am definitely a formicator... no question about my formications. (seriously, this is a very annyoing symptom for me.)

I checked out the website--it is the National Fibromyalgia Research Association:the source of the symptom chart seems to be several studies posted as abstracts on the site: these studies were presented at NFRA symposia (but not necessarily published in peer-reviewed journals). The studies started with patients diagnosed as having fibromyalgia and seem to be showing that at least some fibromyalgia patients also have cervical myelopathy.
Interesting info for me personally as well as professionally...

It would sure be helpful to get an ADR/top doc to address the symptom list and what if any cessation/symptom reduction/elimination occurs with cervical ADR/decompression.

A dream.

Mark,
I've heard about an organization called NA that might be able to help you with your formication problem. Them or your wife, I'm not sure which one is appropriate. CM

Formication Rumination:

I simply don't understand what all the fuss is about!

Formication: a perfectly innocent term which refers to a technique for shaping formica, for example, into kitchen countertops. As we know this method of formica manipulation has been around since Eve & Adam.

Occasionally when the highly specialized tools required for formication are used with excess enthusiasm odd sensations like tingling, jerking and rarely, almost pleasurable spasms, may be produced. For the most part these effects are simply the result of formication that has gotten a little out of hand.

Hopefully this will finally put the matter of formication, whether it involves kitchen countertops, or inexpensive rental furniture, to rest.

Very interesting!

More reports relating spine disease, and cranial mal-formations with sleep disturbances, in this case: Central sleep apnea.

http://www.aan.com/press/press/index...ew&release=329

How if at all, does this relate to the (assumed) mechanical stresses placed on the brain-stem by cervical spine compression?

If there is a causal relationship between CSA and CSC, could it be reduced or eliminated surgically by cervical spine de-compression? E.g.: ADR?
