Forgive my bumbling about this morning, been on duty all night, and into that dreaded hour #13...I have been searching for some of the contraindications to ADR candidacy, and can't seem to find a comprehensive list. Any pointers? I seem to find significant facet arthrosis is not a good thing, poor bone density, instability, scoliosis, but am I missing something? I'm compiling a letter to send to my prospective surgeon, trying to gain answers to some burning questions.....Any help would be appreciated, eh?
Looks to be a foggy morning in northern Colorado....we don't get that too often, so it's usually sort of cool.

Ciao

Please read through this entire topic -- you'll find more than what you asked for -- including exclusion criteria for several different studies:

Thanks, Harrison! It pretty much confirmed what I thought was included on that list, and gave me a whole new list of questions to ask....which I suppose is the whole point, eh?

Also, for clinical trials, you can't be frankly mentally ill. There goes my chances.

I spoke with a surgeon involved in the FDA clincal trial of the Charite ADR, and was told by him that the most important way to determine the success of an ADR is the health of the facets ( for nay ADR). By the way, for what it is worth, he has decided not to do ADRs, at least the Charite model. He is sticking to fusion.
I am very frustrated,as I know many of you are.
