CTs and MRIs are heavily obstructed by the artifact of the ADR. That said a skilled and patient technician and/or radiologist can 'throw' the artifact out of the immediate area (the radiologist's description of the practice, not ours) and still image most of the region. You'd still need flat x-rays to check for subsidence or movement of the ADR but we've been able to image the cartilage on the facet joints next to an ADR on Laura.

Judi, you may have already seen this previous topic on MRNs, a special MRI that has helped SOME people with tricky pinched nerves. Please read the entire topic carefully, follow the links too.
