Well, we are doing better!

Everyday mom is seeing improvement with the distraction pain. It is clear that the Neurotin and Oxycodine are working. She is now able to sleep at night for about 4 hours at a time. She still spends more time in bed than out. She did get a massage for her calves today and it helped greatly. We also purchased the BioFreeze.

Still waiting for an appointment for Pain Management but hopefully it won't be too much longer.

Thanks for those who said it was that bad for me, but now the pain is diminished or gone. Our worse fear is that this doesn't go away. But this board has reminded me over and over again, that this too shall pass.

The trip home was very tramatic, neither one of us can talk about it without crying, but we both are sure we on the homestretch now.

I will keep you updated....with good news, I am sure!

Dear Too Much Pain,

It's good to hear that the discomfort is lessening. It should get better over time as you become more flexible and active. Water therapy and massage really helped me through the changes post-op. The BioFreeze was also handy for spasms and minor flare ups. Follow your doctor's orders and pace yourself. You are now on the road to healing!
