Since I have been denied by my health insurance can someone please give me the contact information on the doctors in Germany. Also, how much does it cost to do the surgery abroad and any other info you can give me would be great.

Some possible suggestions (I haven't used any of them, nor am I associated with any of them):

http://www.globalpatientnetwork.com/

http://www.getadr.com/

If you are serious, you also might want to talk to MMGlobal about this subject as well (I believe that he is associated with global patient network).

David

(Edit: my brief research indicates that ADR surgery in Europe will probably run you around $30k, presuming 1 level ADR)

Jason

I am doing an on line profile with Mark.

http://www.globalpatientnetwork.com/services/

It is $150 + $100 for an European doctors recommendation re: your case. It is my impression that the surgery in Europe may cost you the price of a bran new 4-Runner at least. It's worth it!!!!

Unless you can read German, I would suggest an alternate for the AK link:

http://www.alphaklinik.de/en/alphaklinik

Jason, I was also denied insurance coverage, but had surgery in Boston any way. My spine is great! I later got reimbursed by Blue Corpse Blue Sled.

As an editor, founder and ADR patient, I do not support Stenum (advertised by an agent of theirs at www.getadr.com). I do not want to steer this thread into a Stenum discussion, as that topic has been well covered already (please do a search for "stenum," or start a new thread if you have NEW information).

Great docs in the states if do not want to go overseas...

Jason
Cost depends on how many levels you have done. TBI did a 2 level on a patient recently who paid cash and it was around 53k. I believe someone told me 1 level was in the high 30s.
They do a discount there for cash patients and have worked some deal out with the hospital too.
Going to Europe is less expensive yes but having to be out of the country 2-3 weeks and travel expenses etc I dont see that its that much less expensive anymore.
I cant afford to go to Europe or pay cash I wish I could Even if I could pay cash, I cant leave my family for that length of time. It would be a hardship for me to be gone the week it was going to take to go to TBI and get it done.
I hope this has helped

Hi Jason,
if you look on the Alphaklinik web site they do give you prices for all of the procedures.

Might it be easier to look in the surgical outcomes which are here, and see how much it cost other people in the past to get a good idea?

As Kim quite rightly says, it depends how many levels you need. The Alphaklinik will give you a written quotation, and they will abide by that.

If you look at Jeff Deals recent Surgery you will see that the cost for his three level at the Alphaklinik was $29,000 I'm not sure if that included the flight but it certainly included the hotel I think. You just need to look round little bit more talk to more people.
Best,
Alastair
