Facet joint resurfacing Zyga
On the 18th of March 2011 I will be having facet joint resurfacing, with Dr Pimenta.
Unable to walk more than a few metres and unable to stand in one position, Weight bearing is now near impossible. My only Alternative after 10 years with 2 Charite disks, is to fuse. It is a 50/50 chance of this procedure working, I think it is worth trying. The Arthroscopy surgery consists in a posterior minimal invasive approach to the zygapophyseal joints. The capsule is opened and the device is inserted using a special instrumentation.I should be out of hospital the next day. I will keep everyone posted on how I go.
