Well, wish me luck fellow spineys. Thursday we leave for Bonn with my surgery scheduled November 30. Dr. Zeegers and I decided to have the vascular surgeon in the OR instead of on call, increasing my chances to come out with ADR, either two level or one level with fusion.
Under normal travel circumstances I would spend at least 6 months planning a trip to Europe so this has been a whirlwind. I've had to put any thoughts of tourism to the back burner but I did highlight a few interesting sounding places in the guidebook to visit if it turns out I'm up to it. I am planning to blog and when I come up with a suitable name I will let you all know! Of course I will also post in the ADR Surgical Outcomes forum. If it weren't for this site over all these years, I would not be at this place, and I am very grateful. See you on the flip side!

Nan,
We're so excited for you. And what a day to be leaving for a life-restoring surgery; Thanksgiving. Dr Zeegers has a history of turning out a steady stream of excellent outcomes; so your chances of a great outcome are about as good as it gets. I'll be looking forward to following your progress on your blog; so please don't forget to post it. Good luck, Jeff

I went ahead and updated my signature for anyone who is interested in my blogging. It is super easy to do as long as I have a good wi fi signal. I get one hour free in the hotel, and then can pay for the remainder of the day if I want.
I can't wait to be posting in the surgical outcomes forum! I should probably go study the format so I can make some sense the first few days after surgery. Has anyone heard from Christine yet?
