I had my six months post op three level Dynesys fusion check up with Dr. Regan today. All screws remain in place. He says he is still recommending Dynesys for patients like me, but they are not doing many three levels, mostly ones and a few two levels. Of course I didn't expect to be pain free, but I was hoping to be able to walk further and maybe be able to tolerate the back pain. Today the pain went away after I was able to sit in my comfy chair, only it took almost two hours to feel comfortable. But I should be glad that the leg pain is gone. I guess that's progress. There is no more that can be done. If I want to get around for any length of time I'll have to use a wheel chair or walk in increments of 10 minutes with long periods of sitting. Anyone want to buy a nice set of golf clubs or a pair of skiis??? Or swap for an electric scooter???

So sorry that you are still in pain and still struggling with these issues. But thank you for posting and letting us know how you're doing--it's been a while since you posted.

Hi Cervie,
Sahuaro's right, it's been a while and I can see why Even if you've been told there's 'no more to be done', maybe 6 months is too soon for all the dust to settle and the healing process to finish? Sending you a big hug and sending a special prayer for you today on this Nat'l Day of Prayer. Trace |
