Back2life, congrats on making a decision! I'm having my L-ADR on 12/13. There will be a lot of sharing over the next few months b/c there are several of us having surgery within the same time frame.

Wishing a positive recovery~

Happy holidays!

back2life,

Because my surgery was cervical and because I didn't go to Dr Boeree, I can't answer any of your questions. Let me give you my very best. Dr Boeree churns out a steady stream of excellent outcomes, so you are in very good hands. Looking forward to your post-surgery updates!

Good luck, Jeff

Hey, just to clarify.... I mentioned the back up plan in my case, but it was never used. My original plan was a STALIF and ADR. (My L5-S1 facets were too far gone for an ADR).
The back up plan was 2 STALIFs from L4-S1 (if the vertebral body at L4-5 was too damaged or injured from the procedure) with an M6 ADR above at L3-4 (which was the level that was optional to treat). So we ended up leaving L3-4 alone, as he was able to do Plan A!
He's so skilled that my guess is it's rare that the back up plan is ever used. It's smart to have one in place though. 4 1/2 hour long surgery to me says he takes his time and does it right.
