Something else to consider. A lot of people who have chronic pain are also on an anti-depressant. A lot of anti-depressants cause an increase in serotonin. Tramadol can also cause an increase in serotonin. Results can be serotonin syndrome. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Serotonin_syndrome

hi Brian,

How are you feeling? i'm sorry i haven't checked in for a while; i've been recovering from my own revision op, which has been extremely painful and challenging so i'm even more empathetic to your situation and others suffering after surgeries and revisions.

i hope you are feeling a little better with time as i know you've had a really difficult time the past few years. Chronic pain and all that comes with it is hard to handle for too long. I hope someone has given you hope that things will improve.

Let me know how you are doing when you have a minute.

Wishing you a pain-free, healthy and active 2010!

Liz

ps... i just rec a guy named Ryan in the UK send you a PM as his wife is facing SIJ fusion... i hope this is OK.
