As I struggled this morning to step into and pull up my nylons properly, I wondered...

This daily task is really cumberson and awkward, what daily task is difficult for you post-ADR?

If any male answers this question the same as I, I will really wonder...

I can't speak for post-ADR activity yet, but how about post-failed nucleotomy?

Bending over to tie my shoes is the worst; sets off that nerve and it buzzes right down my left arm and to my fingers. solution: slip-ons

Shaving legs is fun too. solution: none. Hubby would not accept a Wookie and I am not gonna ask him to do it for me;have enough scars already

Hey, this thread could be a lot of fun if people told the truth, rofl....

Right now riding either of my bikes (recumbent or diagonal frame) is fairly painful, as is prolonged sitting. These problems are fairly new, however, and the first year (heck, the first month) post-ADR I was like andromeda111 with really no painful activities at all. A few days after getting my Charite I was able to dress, take extended walks, use the elliptical trainer (slowly), and walk up and down stair for excercise (slowly) with no pain whatsoever in my back or legs.

Best,
Laura

I'm only 4 months post-op and my recovery is going slow so commenting on any difficulties is premature. However, to the women of the adr world... don't discount your husband shaving your legs for you. When done in the right atmosphere and circumstances, it can be sensual or romantic... or both. I don't know about all of you but those two words have been missing from my vocabulary for too long. Don't pass up a chance to put them back in.

My oh my; I don't think I'll ever be able to look at my razor in the same light again, Dale...but the idea of handing it over to anyone in this nuthouse seems as SCARY AS ADR

Point taken though; it's just that I think I'll try to put those words back WITHOUT sharp objects if ya don't mind!

Crystal,

So glad I ware sweats to work instead of nylons...

One of the ProDisc Study questions is can you dress yourself without making modification and up to 6 months I had to say NO because it was hard to put my underwear on correctly. Glad to say I was able to say YES at my last appointment. Progress at its finest.

As for Dales suggestion, you guys should give it a try it is pretty sensual and erotic to have a women shave your legs... trust me

I keep getting these offers in the mail for free panty hose....I have no idea why???...I would never wear panty hose, I don't wear dresses, I don't wear skirts, nor do I rob banks, I should just forward my pantyhose offers to Crystal from now on. Pauline...I can't help but crack up about your underwear situation, sounds really uncomfortable! LOL!

LOL...Has to be one of the small-print clauses to Murphy's Law: 'you will only receive free of charge that which you do not need, and in great abundance'
