Default Multi-level Cervical ADR Diagnosis

I finally saw Dr Delamarter yesterday in LA. The doctor and his staff were nice. I was at his office for almost 1 hour, spending time between his RN and himself.

He explained my conditions and confirmed that I am a good candidate for a 3-level ADR. He needed me to do 1 more test: Discogram. Since I live in AZ, he suggested me to do the test in Phoenix (insurance coverage), and would call me to discuss the treatment plan.

I was actually surprised to find out that his estimate for a 3-level ADR is a lot cheaper than I thought. According to him, the 3-level ADR now cost about $45,000, give and take $5K. That's all inclusive! I have yet to receive the quote from his office yet, but if that's true, than we don't have to travel to Europe for surgery.

I am scheduled to see another neurologist in Phoenix in the next 2-3 weeks. In the meantime, I waiting to hear back from Stenum about the plan.

Thanks.

I have heard an estimate too from his office that makes him competitive with some of the doc's in Europe - if that holds to be true as I dont have it in writing - but based on what I also was told he is more competitive than some of his USA counterparts here are currently charging & yet you are STILL getting an experienced doc. He will use more than one level for Cervical if he feels it is needed. He has many happy customers over the years.
Let us know how you come along with this & how the disco goes - if only 2 levels be less yet but you want to get whatever you need done at one time if you can -

Best - Jill

I am trying someone locally in Phoenix who does the cervical discogram. Do you know of anyone who does this procedure?

I'm in Ca so no help on the discogram. But keep us posted on the hard numbers from Dr. D. I've gotten prices of approx $45K & $53K for 3 level cervical in Germany so far + travel etc. Real curious if it can happen here for the same or close to it

thanks

When I consulted with Dr. Delamarter, he also wanted me to get a discogram and said that he could suggest someone in Arizona to do it--I didn't get as far as asking him, but you could probably call his office and inquire about this.
Wishing you good luck, fellow Arizonan!
