Fred,
The US trial for the NeoDisc was supposed to end in October. I don't know how long it takes to crunch the data and get the final approval from the FDA, so I don't know when you can get one here. I do know that Dr Luiz Pimenta in Brazil uses the NeoDisc and that he does multilevel cervical ADR. When I was researching multilevel ADR for my insurance appeal, Dr Pimenta's name kept turning up. Good luck! Jeff

Hi Fred,
I had the NeoDisc at C5/6 as well as the Nuvasive XLIF w. a PEEK cage at L4/5 & an ALIF w. PEEK at L5/S1 with Dr. Pimenta in March of this year. All were a rip roaring success in my opinion. ![]() I had to have these because of severe metal allergies to every other appliance. Unfortunately there still isn't a non-metal lumbar ADR that could have been used with me. Considering the alternative...a continuation of five years of severe pain, I was happy to go with the fusions instead of a hybrid there. Dr. Pimenta is so very skilled, as well as easy to work with in regards to discussing options and his treatment plan. We benefited from his positive yet realistic attitude, especially when we ran into complications that weren't obvious from the pre-op images. (at least six other surgeons had missed it too). I traveled to Brazil for several reasons...it is Dr. Pimenta's home base with his full surgical team there, although the surgery could have been done across the border, just outside San Diego I believe. I too heard that the NeoDisc had finished trials in the US, but I'm not sure what that means for the FDA approval process here and in the US.
