Hi, has anyone experenced stoppage of menstrual cycles post-adr? (or post-op anything anterior, I guess)
I had a 3 level dec 12, had my "regulaly scheduled visit" Dec 14, nothing since. (almost 8 weeks)
I had bloodwork to check my status re: enopause in November- normal. Definitely not pregnant unless immaculate conception!
Just wondering, as I m usually regular as clockwork

No, that didn't happen to me but stress can do that. I didn't have one for about 6 months (when I joined the navy and went through boot camp).

Juli,
I understand its common among athletes, as well- the change in excersise habits that I am sure you underwent during bootcamp may have been the cause of that!
You know, I'm not stressed, surpriingy. At least notemotionally- obviously theer has been GREAT physical stress...
Even pre-op, I was more nervous about the overseas flight than I was the surgery...I guess thas the result of years of research and waiting, I knew I was in good hands(Dr Bertagnoli).

Kim,

Any disruption to your normal life can do the same to your period. You don't even have to be aware that you're nervous or concerned, your body knows. You may not think you're 'stressed' but you can't go through a 3 level, even with Dr. B, without some concerns.

You're 8 weeks post op... how are you doing? I was also wondering why Dr. B sandwiched the Prodisc with Activ-L's. I too had a 3 level, Prodisc with Dr. B, 4 months ago. Just curious as to what the reasons were?

Wishing you a speedy recovery, Dale
