Still Deteriorating

HI fellow spineys. Haven't posted for a while but pop in and read every so often. Having recently had my 5 year and 3 year surgery anniversaries, thought I''d do an update.

Well things are not good. I still have 6 monthly appointments with my surgeon to "keep an eye on things" and still have constant lumbar and hip pain...ranging from moderate to severe. I'm constantly having acupuncture, massage and physiotherapy but not on any heavy pain meds (another trigger for my migraines).

Due to increasing cervical pain I recently had a CT and xray which showed severe osteoarthritis at the otontoid peg.....an unusual place to get OA, and virtually inaccessable for treatment....also lesser OA at C1-2. Yay!

On a brighter note....8 weeks ago I became a first time grandmother to a beautiful baby girl courtesy of my son and daughter in law. Just what I needed to cheer me up

So glad to hear that there is some joy in your life. Congrats on the Grandbaby!
