Possible hybrid Surgery next month!

Hi, My name is Joe and I am (hopefully when insurance ok's it) going for Hybrid disc replacement surgery. DDD and slip & fall L4-L5 and L5-S1. ADI with Prodisc L4-L5 and fusing L5-S1 with Dr. Goldstein at Hospital for Joint Diseases in NYC. I understand he is one of the most experienced doctors in this field. Has anyone used him and if so your outcome? I am 38 years old and a police officer in NY. I desperately want to return to work and my very active lifestyle I had before my injury. If anyone has had the same surgery please let me know your results. Thanks.

Joe, thx for posting -- I hope we can help. When you have some time...

- pls add a signature describing your spine (which you've done already, really);

- try the search feature, it works well. I searched for Dr. Goldstein and found 37 references. In some of these posts, you'll find people like Sandi who is one of Dr. G's patients. You can private message her and others; that's generally the best way to reach specific patients.
