So Rob,

Is this going to delay your plans to have this procedure on your L3/4 disk space ?

Where are you on that now ?

Yes. This will stop that procedure. I am getting MRI results this week. I know L3/4 is bulging and there is some facet hypertrophy. With the way it was injured (yardwork with an ax and chainsaw), it could have been a sprain I guess. I have started PT with extension/flexion machine and decompression machine. I will also continue with prolotherapy to strengthen the lumbar and SI ligaments. Hope it resolves itself. NO more surgery!!! I do hope Regenexx gets back to its disc procedures though as they seem to get great results.

I know that SI ligaments can cause anterior thigh pain. So it could be a strain.

Default This is so insulting

This is where our governmental agency dollars are going? instead of spending tax dollars furthering the research or sending it to oversight organizations that could use the funding to help protect our population (The SEC maybe), we have the FDA throwing Red Tape and money at this company yet missing just about every warning signing on drugs that are approved but end up harming people in the long term (anyone want to Viox or Phen Fen?)

RegenaDISC - Disc Regeneration using Stem Cell Therapy for Painful Discs in the Back and Neck.

Just found this which may be of interest to some.

From the website, "RegenaDISC is the first disc regeneration treatment using stem cell tissue transplantation procedures for painful conditions of the back and neck. No longer do you have to live with painful disc problems. RegenaDISC can help."

Hey longroad... I just had a phone consultation with them (Dr. Flood) and it sounds like the regenadisc process is still pretty iffy. ~13 people so far with pretty mixed results - nothing concrete and still in its infancy. They were offering me a combo laminectomy and stem cell injection, but I've opted against it.

I like Dr. Flood's approach as it's well thought out and involves a program -- not just a quick fix. In addition to disc repair or rejuvenation, his supplements of choice are of interest to me as well, since they also validate a naturopathic approach to wellness; e.g., zinc, iodine and glucosamine. I look forward to hearing more of his work in the years ahead.
